The Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) certifies diverse businesses and manages several business programs that help enhance the marketability of small and diverse businesses when they bid on public contracts. SDO also facilitates training and networking opportunities for small businesses, and helps government agencies implement inclusive procurement practices.

Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM)

DCAMM works with state agencies to create and manage forward-thinking, sustainable buildings to meet the needs of the citizens they serve. They partner with fellow agencies to help them meet their strategic needs with fiscally responsible building and real estate solutions. In addition, DCAMM certifies companies to bid on vertical construction projects put out to bid by Massachusetts public agencies pursuant to M.G.L. Chapters 149, 149A and 25A.

Operational Services Division (OSD)

The Operational Services Division (OSD) serves both business and government customers through a variety of services and programs. The OSD assists with managing the state fleet of vehicles, managing the Commonwealth’s COMMBUYS Procurement Market Center, and certifying small businesses looking to do business with the Commonwealth They also provide management and oversight of the procurement of goods and services, which includes the direct management of more than 100 Statewide Contracts that have in excess of $1.4 billion in purchases.

The Massachusetts Office of Business Development assists businesses relocating to Massachusetts as well as businesses wishing to expand their current operations, with specific attention being paid to jobs created, jobs retained, and capital invested. MOBD provides a highly responsive, central point of contact that facilitates access to resources, expertise, and incentive programs.

The Massachusetts Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) can guide you through the government procurement process and provide you with information on how to become more competitive in the government marketplace.  PTAC can help you determine if your company is ready for government opportunities and how to best position yourself to succeed.

The Massachusetts Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) are a partnership between the US Small Business Administration (SBA) and University of Massachusetts System. They provide free marketing, financing, and business-related assistance to local entrepreneurs.

SCORE is a national network of experienced executives who are willing to share their experience, as volunteer mentors, to help entrepreneurs (start-ups and established). SCORE also provides workshops and courses in business education to help small businesses grow and prosper.

The Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Relations provides community engagement and ensures that the town promotes equity and inclusion in all aspects of Civic Life. The Chief Diversity Officer routinely works with small businesses and contractors to find opportunities to participate in town contracts. In addition, the Office collaborates with town departments to maintain compliance with supplier diversity standards.

Town of Brookline Economic Development and Long Term Planning

Brookline Economic Development and Long Term Planning Division is Responsible for commercial development, local business growth and support, signage review, long-term planning and policy initiatives. ED staff work with small businesses to provide a wide variety of support, from lending assistance to training and technical assistance. ED staff can help you navigate various regulatory processes and make sure that you are connected with the right folks in Town government.
